Earlier this year, Jason contacted Hog Roast Dorset to provide catering for a family meal he is hosting this October. The event is being organised for his Mum’s birthday and he is gathering the extended family at his home in Dorset to celebrate the occasion. Alongside the good company, he is also treating his Mum to a delicious buffet menu served by Hog Roast Dorset. Our classic hog roast menu is sure to go down a treat on this occasion and will create the perfect cosy buffet option for the guests to enjoy.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Dorset team will arrive at the private venue in the morning, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the midday serving time. We will start our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection for around five hours. Once ready, the succulent pork will be carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be providing BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious veggie alternative to pork. The rolls will be accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes, to create a varied and nutritious main meal. We hope that this menu is perfect for the occasion and we are eager to get involved!
